Flexi-Felt Clear

What it’s for
Flexi-Felt Clears are designed to protect floors while maintaining a clean, low-profile look. It fits snugly over furniture legs, is virtually invisible to the eye and allows smooth movement without scratching.

How to install

  1. Ensure the furniture leg is clean, dry, and free of dust.
  2. Slide the Flexi-Felt Clear sleeve fully over the leg until it sits flat on the floor.
  3. Check that the felt base is level and making full contact with the floor.
  4. Gently test movement before returning the furniture to normal use.

Helpful tips

  • For hard to fit models, you can heat them up with a hair dryer or similar to make them more flexible and easier to slide on.
  • For chair legs that are hard to slide on, like steel, you can wipe a bit of silicone spray inside the sleeve to help it slide on. Then leave with the weight of the chair to allow the sleeve to mould to the leg.
  • Make sure the sleeve is pushed on evenly so the felt sits flat against the floor.

Self-Adhesive Felt Pads

What they’re for
Self-adhesive felt pads provide reliable floor protection for chairs, stools, and heavy furniture when installed correctly.

How to install

  1. Turn furniture upside down and clean the contact surface thoroughly.
  2. Peel the backing from the felt pad.
  3. Carefully centre the pad on the furniture leg.
  4. Press firmly for several seconds to ensure good adhesion.
  5. Allow time for the adhesive to bond before moving the furniture (preferably allow overnight with the weight of the chair on the felt).

Helpful tips

  • Do not apply to dusty, oily, or uneven surfaces.
  • Remove any plastic caps or items that don’t allow the adhesive to bond to the whole surface area of the leg.
  • Use the largest pad size that fits fully under the leg — cover as much surface area as possible.
  • Avoid sliding furniture immediately after installation.

Sled-Based Glides

What they’re for
Sled-based glides are designed for sled-style chairs, helping them move smoothly while protecting hard flooring surfaces.

How to install

  1. Make sure the sled base is clean and free from grit.
  2. Position the glide so it aligns correctly with the sled base (usually one each end of the tubular sled — 4 in total).
  3. Place glide under the tubing where you wish to install, then press tubing down on glide with the weight of your foot.
  4. If installed correctly, glides will snap into place and will not move.

Helpful tips

  • Do not use your hands to try and snap the glides on, it will be too hard!
  • Ensure both sides are installed evenly for smooth movement.
  • If your tubing is in between sizes, you can use the larger model and place a dab of clear silicone in the glide before snapping into place. Leave overnight to set before using.
  • Periodically check for wear in high-use areas.

  2. Fit each cover securely over the wheel.
  3. Check that all covers are seated evenly.
  4. Using a heat gun, rotate castors while applying heat evenly across the covers so that they shrink evenly over both sides of the castor.
